To Buy Or Not To Buy

I'm seriously thinking about buying a Samsung ES60 digital camera.  A red one.
It's just one of those not too expensive point-and-shoot cameras, nothing too fancy (me being a cheapskate, hehe).  For its price range, it's got some really cool features including 12.2 mega pixels, 3x optical zoom, Face Detection, Red Eye Fix, and Beauty Shot which is like having Photoshop built in.  My favorite is the Retro mode...love the effect and the fact that I don't have to edit the pictures to make it look aged.

The picture quality is also not bad for a camera that is less than 8K in price.  One of my team mates had some photos printed and it turned out very nice, with very vivid colors.

The main thing that I like about it is that it has lithium ion batteries.  That's my number one requirement.  Why buy the ones with AA batteries for the same price range?  That's just impractical.

So yeah, I'm seriously thinking about getting one.  Although I'm still weighing it in terms of practicality.  Do I really need a digital camera right now? Yeah, I can use it for blogging and stuff...but do I really need it?

I'm just not one to buy gadgets on a whim, not even those that are practically cheap, and as far as gadgets go this baby is a steal.

I'm still trying to invent a practical reason for getting one, aside from "I just want one, and I can probably afford it anyway."

Well...let's just say that I'm waiting for them to drop the price even lower. Lol!

My PRC License Registration Experience, Epilogue

Finally, a year and some months after passing the Licensure Examination for Teachers, I got my license.  Compared to my previous experiences while  registering and applying for the license, the claiming of the ID card was relatively uneventful.

Went to window 22, dropped my claim stubs, waited for my name to be called, and voila! The guy behind the window handed me my ID and official receipt, asked me to sign my PERRC and that's it. Took a mere 3-5 minutes.

And here it is finally, my professional license.  My mother would be happy.

Thanks PRC for the harrowing but interesting experience.  See you again in three years.

Prooky Friday: Silent Mode

My phone's been awfully quiet lately...

The SO (Significant Other) flew to the US two days ago for some vacation time with his mom and sisters.

I'm missing my "No One's Happier Than I" ringtone...
